HELP WITH CUSTOMS AND DOCUMENTS

HELP US UNDERSTAND YOUR SHIPMENT

Send a clear description of the goods and any invoice, order confirmation or transport documents you already have. Include the sender and recipient details so we can relate the documents to the right shipment.

Tell us whether the goods are a purchase, a gift, a return or part of a move. This gives us a better starting point for checking which information is missing and guiding you through the next steps.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should I send you to get customs guidance?

Describe the goods and give the collection and delivery addresses, and send the shipment documents you already have. We can review the details and advise on any missing information. You can contact us before dispatch.

What affects customs charges?

For imports into the Faroes, product type, origin and value matter. Freight and insurance form part of the customs value. Duty, VAT, any excise duties and handling fees are separate from the freight price.

Read the guidance

Is the purchase country the same as the country of origin?

Not necessarily. Buying goods in Denmark does not mean they were made there. Send any origin information supplied by the seller rather than guessing.

What information should the invoice contain?

The invoice must clearly describe the goods, quantity and price. TAKS also requires packaging details, package count, gross and net weight, country of origin and terms of sale. Send us the invoice so we can review the information. See the TAKS guidance for the full requirements.
